Caddo School Board sets community meetings for superintendent search

SHREVEPORT, La. — Community members can take part in a series of meetings designed to gather input on the selection of the next superintendent of Caddo Parish Public Schools. The meetings will provide a platform for parents, students, and other stakeholders to share their thoughts and priorities for the district’s leadership, the district said Tuesday in a news release.

Input Gathering Meetings

McPherson & Jacobson, LLC is leading the superintendent search and will host six meetings. The firm will use the feedback from the meetings to identify characteristics of a future superintendent. Applications for superintendent can be submitted from now through Aug. 12 via McPherson & Jacobson LLC. The School Board has established a goal of Oct. 1 to select a superintendent.

Community Meeting Schedule

The community meetings will be held at the following locations and days:

  • July 15
    • 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Booker T. Washington High School
    • 6 to 7 p.m., Donnie Bickham Middle School

  • July 16
    • 6 to 7 p.m., C.E. Byrd High School

  • July 17
    • 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Turner Elementary/Middle School
    • 6 to 7 p.m., Keithville Elementary/Middle School

  • July 18
    • 11 a.m. to noon, Central Office board room
