By midday on Monday, August 26, the hospital system issued an update. At approximately 12:50 p.m., they announced, “Incoming phone service has been restored to Willis-Knighton North, clinics and centers on the North campus, and to The Oaks of Louisiana.”
The statement further clarified that the outage was purely a telecommunications issue and confirmed that it did not affect patient care or other operations. “Thank you for your patience during this outage,” the statement concluded.
During the outage, those trying to reach departments such as the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center or other facilities were advised to contact the switchboard of another Willis-Knighton hospital instead. The alternative numbers provided were:

The outage not only affected Willis-Knighton North but also impacted several senior living properties at The Oaks of Louisiana. The following locations within the Willis-Knighton Health System were affected:
As of now, the service provider has resolved the issues that led to the telephone disruption. Willis-Knighton expressed gratitude for the public’s understanding and patience while they managed this communication challenge.
