Thanksgiving Trash Schedule Changes in Bossier City!

Hey Bossier City residents! As Thanksgiving draws near, it’s important to remember that celebrations come with a few changes to our regular routines, especially when it comes to trash pick-up. So, let’s get right into it! Mark your calendars because there will be no trash pick-up on Thursday, which is Thanksgiving Day.

What to Expect This Holiday

So, what does this mean for all you lovely folks preparing your turkey dinners? Well, instead of getting your trash picked up on Thursday, the good folks at the Bossier City Public Works department will be collecting Thursday’s trash on Friday, November 29th. That’s right, while you’re out celebrating with family and friends, just remember that your trash is getting picked up a little later this week!

And that’s not all! If you’re used to your regular Friday pick-up, you’ll need to take note as well. The Friday trash collection will shift to Saturday, November 30th. Mark that one down, people – it’s a double-header for the weekend!

Drop-Off Station and Recycle Center Closure

If you’re someone who likes to use the Bossier City Drop-off station and the Recycle Center, note that they will be closed on both Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday. They will bounce back to normal business hours starting on Saturday, November 30th. So, whether you’re looking to drop off those plastics or enjoy some recycling, you’ll have to wait until the weekend.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!

Now, if you have any burning questions or just want to double-check something regarding trash pick-up, you can totally reach out to the friendly team at Public Works! Just give them a call at (318) 741-8419. They would be more than happy to help you out.

A Thanksgiving Wish from Public Works

As we dive into this festive season, let’s take a moment to appreciate the hard work that goes into keeping our city clean. The Bossier City Public Works team wishes all citizens a Happy Thanksgiving filled with joy, love, and, of course, delicious food!

Last Minute Tips for Your Thanksgiving Bathroom Management

Don’t forget, with all those guests around, the trash can might fill up faster than usual. So, keep an eye on it! If you’re cooking a big feast, it’s probably a good idea to have a few extra garbage bags on hand. Trust us, no one wants to deal with a full can when it’s time to clean up!

Enjoy Your Holiday!

This Thanksgiving, while you gobble down the turkey and enjoy the time with family and friends, just keep in mind the change in schedule for trash collection. And remember, it’s the little things, like taking out the trash on the right days, that can help promote a cleaner and happier community.

Have a fantastic holiday, everyone! And remember our Bossier City motto – Keep it clean and keep it green! We’ll see you at the trash can next weekend!
