Join the Festivities at Shreveport’s Trunk or Treat Event!

If you’re looking for a fantastic and safe way to celebrate Halloween, look no further than Shreveport! Mark your calendars and get ready for an evening filled with spooky fun, candy, and community spirit. The Shreveport Police Department and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office are throwing a special Trunk or Treat event on Monday, October 28th. The festivities will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sheriff’s Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Ave.

What’s Trunk or Treat All About?

Trunk or Treat is a community trick-or-treating event where families can enjoy a safe and controlled environment. Instead of wandering the streets, kids can go from car to car, enjoying all the creativity and excitement as vehicles are decorated in Halloween themes. It’s a delightful way for children to meet local law enforcement while gathering goodies, all in a friendly, fun, and safe atmosphere!

A Night Filled with Activities

Participating agencies will come together to make the evening memorable. Expect to see decorated trunks brimming with candy, treats, and a whole lot of Halloween cheer! Featured attendees include not just the Shreveport Police Department and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, but also the Shreveport Fire Department, Shreveport City Marshal’s Office, Louisiana Probation and Parole, Louisiana State Police, and the Centenary College Police. This is a perfect opportunity for families to engage with the local first responders and learn more about their efforts in keeping the community safe.

Why Attend Trunk or Treat?

With Halloween fast approaching, safety is always a concern for parents and guardians. The Trunk or Treat event offers the perfect solution. Children can enjoy the spookiness of Halloween without the worries of night-time trick-or-treating. Everything will be thoughtfully planned, from the decorated vehicles to the safety measures in place. Plus, what could be more exciting than seeing police officers and firefighters outside of their usual roles? Their friendly faces will surely make little ones feel at ease while they gather treats.

Aside from the joy of candy collecting, this event fosters a strong sense of community. It’s a great way to build relationships between residents and the local agencies that work tirelessly to protect and serve. Not only will it be fun for kids, but it’s an excellent opportunity for adults to connect, contribute, and create lasting memories.

Ready for a Spook-tacular Evening?

So, don’t forget to dress up your little ghouls and goblins in their favorite Halloween costumes and join us on October 28th! Whether they’re donning pirate hats, princess dresses, or ghostly sheets, there’s bound to be smiles all around.
