Hey there, folks in Shreveport! It looks like the weather is finally shaking things up a bit after a pretty calm stretch. Get your umbrellas ready because we’re gearing up for an active week ahead filled with rain chances. Exciting, right?
As we settle in for the night, the skies will start off clear, but don’t get too cozy just yet! Just like last night, we’re likely to see some areas of patchy dense fog rolling in after midnight. So if you’re heading out late, be careful on the roads! And, to add a little drama to the night, a few showers may pop up north of the I-30 corridor as a weak front makes its approach.
It’s going to be pretty warm overnight with temperatures lingering around the low to mid 60s. A cozy night perfect for some warm drinks!
Now, as we wake up to Saturday, we can expect a mostly dry morning. However, you might want to keep that rain jacket handy as the afternoon rolls in. By late afternoon, scattered showers and even a few storms are on the horizon thanks to that front inching closer from the north. The best chance of rain seems to be along and north of the I-20 corridor, but don’t worry — it looks like these showers will be spotty and hit-or-miss.
Overall, Saturday is set to be another warm day, with highs peaking in the upper 80s. If you’ve got outdoor plans, just keep an eye on those clouds!
Speaking of plans, Sunday is when things will start to chill out a bit. Rain chances will take a dip, leading us into a sunny and hot stretch to kick off the new week. Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are expected to soar close to 90 degrees once again, so keep those shorts and flip-flops handy! In fact, we might even see some records flirting with the possibility of being broken, so let’s see how that pans out.
As we wrap this up, it seems like we’re in for an interesting weather week. Remember to keep an eye on the forecast as the days pass. Don’t let a little rain dampen your spirits or your weekend plans — just be prepared! Have a wonderful weekend ahead!
