Good morning to those in the ArkLaTex region. Expect a cool, drizzly day ahead as temperatures grapple to reach the lower 70s. A Flood Watch has been mandated for parts of the area, remaining in effect until Tuesday morning. Experts predict that as much as 2.5 inches of rain may fall today and tomorrow.
Nightfall doesn’t spell respite from the showers as activity will persist, with temperatures dipping into the mid-60s. By Monday, the damp scenario persists, with the added potential for thunderstorms. Keep an eye on the skies as some storms could grow surprisingly strong. Regardless of their strength, they will be bringing more heavy rain to areas of ArkLaTex. Despite this, expect tomorrow’s thermometer reading to slightly surpass today’s, with temperatures reaching the low 80s.
The latest information suggests that by the end of Monday, the region’s rainy trends will dissipate for the week. After a wet start to the week, expect a dry and very warm midweek with ample sunshine that’s accompanied by high levels of humidity, which may make the weather feel a bit warmer to local residents. It is safe to say the temperatures might end up fairly close to the 90-degree mark, but don’t expect a similar trend like we witnessed last week.
